I orig­i­nally started this page because my birth­day & Christ­mas were just around a cor­ner, and many of my friends / fam­ily (espe­cially those that were over­seas) started ask­ing which presents to get me. Because of the geo­graphic dis­tance, I com­piled a list of books, CDs, DVDs and a few other things that could be pur­chased on-line. Christ­mas came and went; I got some won­der­ful presents; yet the page remained on my web site.

Then I had an idea.

Many of you have told me you enjoy my writ­ing. Some have asked how you can show your appre­ci­a­tion. Below I explain a num­ber of ways that you can do just that.

First — Make a present (on my behalf) to some­one in need

This is my pref­er­ence if you are going to spend money sup­port­ing my writ­ing, as it is in line with my phi­los­o­phy of Pass­ing Kind­ness For­ward. I have 2 sug­ges­tions on how you can per­form an act of Kind­ness on my behalf:

1. Go to World­Vi­sion Smile’s pro­gram and choose from their cat­a­logue of char­i­ta­ble con­tri­bu­tions. After you make the dona­tion, World­Vi­sion will send me a card inform­ing me of your gift. Some exam­ples of what ou can get through the Smiles pro­gram include:

You could also choose from what was not pur­chased by friends and fam­ily from the orig­i­nal list ; I tried giv­ing a wide range of prices, to make it eas­ier for you to find some­thing you can afford. Below is the list, bro­ken by price range (Under $30, $20 to $50, and over $50)

• DVD: “The peace­ful war­rior work­out” DVD. Pur­chase it from Dan Millman’s online store (US$39.95 + S&H)
• Book: ‘Weight Loss for Food lovers’. Pur­chase it from Dymocks online or at any of their stores : $30 (plus S&H if pur­chased online)

OVER $50

• Get me a Gift Voucher for a Tra­di­tional Bali­nese mas­sage ther­apy for 1 hour ($96.60)
• Send me some money towards a new ‘Casio Exilim V7’ cam­era I will get from Inee (The cam­era was $350; you can send via Pay­pal to my email address publicdv@gmail.com)
• Li’l Gym — find out from its’ inven­tor where to pur­chase from, or call local exer­cise equip­ment retail­ers near you (I have no idea how much it will be, but I guess around $200)

The list below is not meant to con­vince you to donate, but rather to give you a bet­ter sense of what you will achieve should you decide to sup­port my writing.
